You probably get this a lot, and i'm sorry if you do, but i've been quite eager to meet some lolitas in the San Francisco area. i'm the only loli i know apart from a few who like to dress it for the goth club, most of whom make their own stuff and modify the look quite a bit (so it's more on the end of Victorian Gothic). Mind you, i'm not always the "purest" of gothic lolitas myself, but i'm interested in meeting people who are into gothloli just for itself.

Because in one, i had a bit of whiteface; because in the other, i had a *very* VisualKei style of skill makeup; because in both, i had pink tights. Apparently, according to the (very prissy) moderator, these things qualify both pics as not loli. Gottferboten that i should do gurorori! i wrote her a polite, studious response, pointing out how gurorori is getting fairly common in Japan. We'll see how that goes; apparently girls who like crumpets and tea are okay, as long as the tea isn't black tea and the crumpets aren't her definition of stale. All i can say is dictatorship.
i mean, i know several Nihonjin loli girls who dress creepier than i do! -

In her view, "lolita has rules." Well, then, for her lolita has rules! i don't think she's looked closely enough at the collections of designers like Ba~tsu, Metamorphose Temps de Fille, and Alice Auaa, who violate her precious "rules" constantly. Meta just came out with a camo suit, fer godsakes. :) -

Tue, June 13, 2006 - 2:44 PMi can't brag about all the Loli labels i own, since i only have a couple pieces from Putumayo, an A+ Lidel shirt and a headdress, and i only even have those because i was actually in Japan. i'm not the type to collect closetfuls of Meta and Moi~meme~Moitie (and a mountain of credit card debt); the label isn't the point, and it's not worth buying unless it's pretty on its own merit anyhow. i do love the Lolita and Aristocrat looks, though, and i enjoy going out all dressed up.
i don't really sew much of my own stuff, but i'm looking to learn over time! :-) -
