Ok, it finnally came out and i got to see it! it's not oscar material, but it's a wonderfull sweet friendship story about two cute girls and BTSSB

Mon, February 27, 2006 - 12:33 PMI am sooo glad that this is out now. My friend burned a copy of the Shimotsuma Monogatori with amateur subtitles for me about ten months ago and i only got to watch it on my computer because of the file. I wanted it bigger and louder!
It is definately a must see. Not only because of the costumes (!) but the shooting and story are really hilarious.

The characters are both spunky, full of personality and genuine, the cinematography is nice and dramatic, and i love the use of little Japan-isms like the JUSCO sequence towards the beginning of the film. The cabbage motif is great, too.
